Solihull CEP believe CPD opportunities are key to the success of cultural education. We strive to provide numerous opportunities for teachers and arts professionals to learn and develop their skills to improve their offer to children and young people.

CEP CPD opportunities can support teachers to create joined up initiatives, across school and across the borough to support attainment and target areas of concern.

Here's some of the CPD opportunities past and present
Lyndon animation
Funded by LRA, Solihull CEP is bringing together schools in the Lyndon district to explore the use of digital technologies, in particular stop motion animation.
Participating Primary schools will then have the opportunity to take part in an animation workshop with their students, that uses Lyndon as the focus to create their own films.

Dance in Primary
Schools
Solihull CEP's Vice Chair, Beth Veness will be leading a CPD session for teachers that looks at how teachers might use dance to reinforce learning in other subjects, embedding it into the curriculum and inspiring teachers to encourage dance activity at their school. Participants will go away with an exciting creative challenge to take back to their school, which will come together to create a unique dance film connecting out CEP.

Creative Youth Consultation
Following the success of our youth consultation program in 15 CEP settings, artists Lee Skinner and Nicola Prestage delivered a free CPD session on how they used creative technology to give young people a voice. CPD participants responded to the program exhibition, creating their own stop motion and film to summarise their learning
