YOUTH BOARD
Youth voice is at the heart of our work, therefore we have a team of enthusiastic young people making up our youth board, who help us to shape arts and culture across Solihull!
What have our youth board been doing?

They act as consultants to the CEP, attending wider CEP steering group meetings, and have been key to advising on youth engagement and steering CEP projects such as the CEP Tea Party

They designed the name, logo and branding for the Streets Studio youth bus project

They led on the Gen22 programme, designing and developing a series of work experience weeks in theatre, TV, Film, music and visual arts

They co-chair the arts panels at our Creative Careers Event

They judged The Core Theatres short is Beautiful film festival

They gave awards at Solihull CEPs visual Arts Exhibition

They created a lantern as part of Art At The Hearts Diwali parade
We aim to make participation as accessible as possible.
Our youth board meet both online and in person, at a time that suits them (in person meetings usually take place at The Core Theatre.
They are made up of young people with a range of artistic disciplines, including performing, visual, digital arts and more.
Meetings happen approximately once per term, chaired by Solihull CEP Development Coordinator, Katie Holtom.
We Are Recruiting!
We are looking for enthusiastic young people aged 16-25, who are interested in shaping arts and culture in and across the Borough of Solihull.
This is an opportunity to share views, thoughts and ideas on the project to directly inform the arts activity that goes into your local area, as well as forming valuable industry connections to springboard your career in the arts!
