Other
Projects

Schools who are part of the Solihull CEP network not only get to take part in our large programmes of work, but also access a variety of other opportunities, including small scale and one off projects and workshops.

These are provided through various channels such as gifted funds from other organisations, artists in the network having opportunities they need connections for, or programmes at our partner venue, The Core Theatre.

Glass Workshops for Alternative Provisions

After the closure of the Solihull Arts Forum, Solihull CEP were kindly gifted their remaining funds to run a small scale project with the Alternative provisions in Solihull.

We are working with glass artist Melissa Keskinkilinc (Melissas Melting Pot), who will be delivering a 1 day glass workshop at 4 schools, including Forest Oak, Triple Crown Centre and Castlewoods.

Poetry Exhibition

As part of The Core Theatres Small is Beautiful commission, artist Charis McRoberts worked with year 5 children at Haslucks Green Junior School to explore things they found beautiful in the natural world. They created craft and poetry, looking at ways we can create a more environmentally sustainable future. The work was showcased in the Core Theatres visual arts exhibition.

As part of The Core Theatres Small is Beautiful commission, Foolsize Theatre worked with year 5 children at Meriden CE primary to create a film that persuaded the Earth to come back to life.
