Join Solihull CEP at our first tea party for schools to find out how you can work with new and exciting organisations in Solihull and Birmingham!
Date: Tuesday 14th November
Time: 2-5pm
Location: The Core Theatre, Solihull (B91 3RG)
We are incredibly pleased to invite you to attend Solihull CEPs very first Tea Party for Schools!
This exciting FREE event is an opportunity for teachers to meet arts organisations and artists working across Birmingham and Solihull, and discover what the Solihull cultural sector has to offer your school!
There are 3 parts to the event:
1. Explore an arts market with stalls hosted by arts professionals sharing their projects and programmes
Start conversations to discover bespoke programmes to meet your curriculum needs
Enjoy hands-on activities at the stalls for a taster of what's on offer.
Hear about new offers and opportunities
2. Take part in focused talks, discussions and CPD!
We will be releasing the programme of CPD sessions closer to the event itself, but we anticipate it including:
How to embed and use arts across the curriculum
How to use the arts to build empathy, community, self confidence & leadership in your students
Core creative skills for teachers
Tasters of workshops on offer by our creative community (including Motionhouse, Sampad and Big Brum TIE).
3. Win huge prizes at our free end of event raffle!
As part of the event, each organisation has donated something to our raffle for you and your school to enjoy! To be entered into the draw, you must collect a stamp from each organisation by visiting every stall.
Prizes include:
School workshops with Calico Theatre, Music Monsters, Hungry2Move, Unique Tay and Sohan Kailey.
Education packs from Motionhouse and Highly Sprung
Books from Spark writers, Autin DT and Sampad
Goodie bags from Bonanza Creative and Windswept workshops
And more to be announced!
All this as well as a huge amount of tea and cake for you to enjoy as you join us! You will also be able to take home a printed directory of all the organisations present at our Tea Party, so you can contact them at a later date.
